Last saturday we launched the vaccination at Mercury Drug in Retiro-Mayon area, we had the Vaxigrip and Fluvac Vaccine. Just to give you a bit info regarding this two vaccine. Fluvac vaccine helps prevent people having influenza, which caused by specific influenza viruses. We all have to note that this vaccine will not protect you or your child from the other influenza viruses that Fluvax vaccine does not contain. Prior injecting the Fluvax vaccine, you should not have any allergies to egg or chicken. It is given children 6 months to 35 months, one injection of 0.25ml of Fluvax and children 36 months and over, one injection of 0.5ml of Fluvax.
While the vaxigrip is also help you to prevent having influenza. It only provides protection against the strains of flu virus used to prepare the vaccine. It is only given once a year. However, this two vaccine have their common indication, but the Fluvac is incorporated with H1N1 unlike the Vaxigrip.
